We have a series of exciting Fringe Activities lined up this year to help you prepare for the run in a fun and enjoyable manner. Slots are limited, register* early to avoid disappointment!

*Registration fee of $5 applies for each Fringe Activity, with exception to Mega Fitness @ Sports Hub Community Play Day

Breakfast Run

Come run with us and enjoy a hearty gluten free breakfast after the run! Start your Saturday with a light hearted 5km run led by our very own female pacers. They are a fun loving community who will train with you and set you on pace for your race.


After the run, gather together and continue on with the making of vegan, wheat & gluten free waffles and pancakes at Real Food cafe. No cooking experience is necessary and you get to taste your own creation! 


On The Menu:

  • Oatmeal Waffles
    Made from gluten free brown rice flour mix, almond milk and rolled oats. Served with fruit coulis and seasonal fruits.
  • Sweet Potato Pancakes
    Flour-less yet fluffy pancakes made with almonds, sweet potato and coconut milk. Served with fruit coulis and seasonal fruits.


About Real Food

Run by a team of passionate individuals who believe in ‘we are what we eat’ and supports local producers,  Real Food cafe features meatless options that are free from processed ingredients, artificial preservatives and trans-fats.

Mega Fitness @ Sports Hub Community Play Day

Join the Great Eastern Women's Run contingent in grooving to the music during the Zumba session at the Sports Hub Community Play Day and feel good as we keep fit together.

Training Run 2

Train with us at this training run where the official pacers for Great Eastern Women’s Run will run with you and help you set a better pace. There will be 2 running distances catered at this session. 12km for the long distance runners and 6km for the short distance runners.

True Fitness Activity 1: Body Attack

Bringing together all your favourite workouts, this one-of-a-kind session comprises 20 minutes of Hi Lo Aerobics, 20 minutes of Step and 20 minutes Resistance Training.


An introduction to aerobics to bring you back to the basics, helping you lay the foundation to more exciting, advanced classes.


BODYATTACK™ is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals - from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor!
