3. Can I switch between different modes of steps tracking?

We strongly encourage you to use only 1 fitness tracker for this campaign and not switch between fitness trackers to ensure that steps are accurately captured. In the event that you switch fitness tracker during the day, the steps data will be based on the tracker with a higher step count. Steps data from past days record will remain unchanged.

4. Will I lose my steps for the day if I change my mode of steps tracking?

The steps data will be based on the highest step count of the trackers used.

5. Why is there a difference in the number of steps tracked between two devices?

Each tracking device has its own tracking algorithm and only serves as an estimate to the actual step count taken. Thus, each fitness tracker has its own attuned sensitivity that may have varying degrees of accuracy in the steps tracked.

6. How do I update my step count?

For Apple Health App, Apple Watch and Google Fit, the app will updated automatically every few minutes on the tracker as long as you enable the footsteps count in your device setting.

For Fitbit, you will need to open the Fitbit app and wait until it finishes syncing to get the updated step count.

Please remember to open the GEWR app at least once every 7 days for the step data from the tracker to sync with the app

7. How often do I need to sync my steps?

For Apple Health App, Apple Watch and Google Fit, the app will sync automatically every few minutes as long as you enable the footsteps count in your device setting.

For Fitbit, a daily sync is recommended but not required. Most Fitbit trackers record detailed minute-by-minute data for seven days. (Fitbit Alta records minute-by-minute data for five days). Fitbit trackers can store daily totals for up to 30 days.

Please check with the relevant smartphones or fitness trackers for accuracy.

Please remember to open the GEWR app at least once every 7 days for the step data from the tracker to sync with the GEWR app.

8. Do I need an Internet connection to use the GEWR mobile app?

For most of the app features, you will need to have an active internet connection. For step count, you do not need internet connection as your device / wearables will record it offline.

You just need to open the GEWR app once you are reconnected to the internet to let the step data from your tracker sync with the GEWR app.
