Dr Angeline Goh is the Medical Director of The Kidney Health Clinic Pte Ltd, Visiting Consultant to Mount Alvernia and Farrer Park Hospitals, and Medical Director of 3 dialysis centres under Advance Renal Care (Asia) Pte Ltd.
Dr Goh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1999 and did her basic training in Internal Medicine in the Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital. She underwent Advanced Specialty Training in Renal Medicine in the Singapore General Hospital, and was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Award in 2008 to study High immunological Risk Renal Transplantation in Los Angeles, California, USA. During this time, she was also attached to renal clinics in the University of California, Los Angeles.
Her subspecialty interest lies in Kidney Transplantation. Prior to starting her own private medical practice, Dr Goh was a Senior Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician at the National University Hospital, where she was in charge of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant (LDKT) Programme. She has been closely involved in the care of both kidney transplant recipients and donors.
The need to maintain good kidney function after a transplant has led Dr Goh to further develop Preventive Nephrology in her practice. If a kidney transplant recipient needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle to stay heathy, so does a person with normal kidney function! She strongly believes that good kidney function is a prerequisite for a healthy life.
Dr Goh was actively involved in teaching during her time in restructured hospitals. She was Assistant Professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and External Lecturer for the Advanced Diploma in Nursing at School of Health Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic. She helped to train Fellows from the International Society of Nephrology from Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Brunei, as part of the development of the Transplant Programme in regional countries.
