Assistant Professor Ho Kay Woon is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at National Heart Centre Singapore.
He is also Director, Medical Student Training in the Cardiovascular Sciences Academic Clinical Programme.
Asst Prof Ho obtained his M.B.B.S. from the National University of Singapore in 1999. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, and completed his training in Internal Medicine in 2004. He completed his fellowship on interventional cardiology and transcatheter aortic valve replacement at Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, Ontario, Canada from July 2010 to Dec 2011.
Asst Prof Ho has been involved in several retrospective database analyses across different aspects of cardiology, including adult congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, electrophysiology and anticoagulation management. He is also a lecturer and module coordinator for the Cardiac Technologist Diploma course at Singapore Polytechnic.
Asst Prof Ho's sub-specialty interest is in interventional cardiology, particularly in the areas of percutaneous coronary interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and device closure for perivalvular leakage.
A patient and kind doctor, Asst Prof Ho is an expert in structural heart intervention using novel method TAVR .
