Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who is eligible for the birthday treats?
 
Policyholders between the age of 17 to 65 (based on age next birthday) who have been with Great Eastern for at least 1 year are eligible for the Birthday Treats Programme
 
2. How will I be informed of the birthday treats?

You will receive an email or sms greeting a week before your birthday month, if you have provided us with your consent to receive marketing materials from Great Eastern.

3. How do I redeem the birthday vouchers?

You can redeem the vouchers via our UPGREAT mobile application.

The vouchers can be found under ’<Month> Birthday Treats’ after you have registered. (For example, March Birthday Treats)

4. How do I sign up for an UPGREAT account?

Download UPGREAT from the respective app store. Once downloaded, tap on “Sign up”, enter a valid email address and create a password. If you are a Great Eastern customer, please register and follow the steps as indicated within the app.

5. I have an existing UPGREAT account. Why am I unable to see the birthday vouchers?

You will need to verify yourself as a Great Eastern Policyholder, following the steps below:

  For existing UPGREAT users

(who have yet to verify their account as a Policyholder)       

For existing UPGREAT users               

        (who have already verified their account as a Policyholder)  

Step 1: Go to 'me' tab

Step 2: Click on ‘Verify as a Great Eastern customer

Step 3: Key in your NRIC/FIN. A One-Time-Pin (OTP) will be sent to the mobile number that you have registered with Great Eastern

No action required.

6. I still do not see the vouchers in my UPGREAT account after I have done the verification.  What should I do?

7. How many times can I redeem the vouchers?

You can redeem each voucher once only. For more details, please refer to the terms and conditions for the respective vouchers via the UPGREAT app.

8. I am eligible for the birthday treats but I did not receive the email or sms greetings. How do I get access to the vouchers?

If you are eligible for the birthday treats, you can view or redeem the vouchers via the UPGREAT app.

9. Why do I not receive the sms or email greetings?

It could be due to:

  • Contact details not updated with Great Eastern
  • Policyholders have not given marketing consent to Great Eastern

If you wish to receive sms and/or emails on offers from Great Eastern, please reach out to your Financial Representatives to update your marketing consent with Great Eastern.
