We've shown you seven tasty ways to detox on local foods. Now you might like to add these dishes to your menu. Here are seven different detox-friendly menu options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks – ideal for the next seven days.

1 Detox breakfasts

  • Healthy and easy to make, these breakfasts are a great start to the day.
  • Oatmeal porridge cooked with unsweetened almond milk and mashed banana. Topped with sunflower seeds or crushed flaxseeds
  • Smoothie made with nut milk, mango and goji berries.
  • Homemade tuna spread (in a blender, combine tinned tuna in water with avocado) and vegetable sticks.
  • Chia seeds cooked with almond milk, topped with fresh berries.
  • Power shake made with hazelnut milk, half an avocado and raw cacao
  • Sweet potato congee made with wholegrain or brown rice, sweet potato and a slice of ginger.
  • Energising green juice. Throw half a lemon (peeled), a handful of spinach, watercress, an apple and a big piece of young ginger into a blender. Blitz with water and enjoy. Tip: use a green apple instead of red – the latter tends to be mushy).

2 Detox lunches
The beauty of these lunches is that they can be made in advance and taken to work as a packed lunch.

  • Chicken stir-fried with bok choy and garlic
  • Creamed vegetable soup made with homemade stock blended with steamed pumpkin, coriander and kai lan. Tip: thicken the soup by blending in some cooked brown rice.

  • Salad made with lean organic chicken, celery, apples, shredded carrots, crushed almonds, avocado and rocket. Make a simple dressing with lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.
  • Rice salad made with cooked brown rice, tofu cubes, blanched broccoli florets and tuna chunks. Make a dressing with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and lemon zest.
  • Simmer organic chicken, leeks, onions, garlic, celery and carrot for a homemade broth.
  • Griddled chicken with bean salad. Boil and mix edamame beans, kidney beans and butter beans together.
