Make a travel claim

For a smoother experience, ensure you have the relevant supporting documents ready beforehand:

  • Flight/travel itinerary, boarding pass, or air ticket showing the dates of departure and arrival to and from Singapore.
  • Original medical bills and receipts. Do request for a detailed breakdown of the expenses incurred, such as medical consultation, medication prescribed etc.
  • Referral letter from a general or medical practitioner if specialist consultation and treatment were sought.
  • Medical report or inpatient discharge summary from your attending doctor.
  • Copy of death certificate, autopsy report, and coroner's findings, police report for death claims (if applicable).
  • Letter of administration/probate (for death claim above SGD150,000).
  • Proof of relationship between the deceased and yourself (for death claim).

If you are claiming for trip postponement, cancellation, curtailment, interruption, or disruption, refer to the list of documents here for the ones relevant to your claim:

  • Letter from the travel agency or airline confirming the cost of non-refundable prepaid travelling expenses (including the cancellation fees).
  • Flight/travel itinerary, boarding pass, or air ticket showing the dates of departure and arrival to and from Singapore.
  • Written confirmation from a medical practitioner certifying you are unfit to travel or to continue with your trip (for cases of serious injury or illness).
  • Original invoice or receipt, and a copy of the itinerary of the tour booking.
  • Copy of death certificate (if a deceased who caused the cancellation).
  • Proof of relationship between the deceased/injured/sick person and yourself.

If you are claiming for loss or damage of baggage, personal belongings, or money, refer to the list of documents here for the ones relevant to your claim:

  • Copy of police report lodged at the place of loss within 24 hours.
  • Property irregularity report obtained from the airline/cruise/train/bus operator in the event of baggage loss or damage.
  • Photographs of damaged items.
  • Flight/travel itinerary, boarding pass, or air ticket showing the dates of departure and arrival to and from Singapore.
  • Letter of confirmation of loss baggage stating compensation amount.
  • Copy of diagnostic report from repairer stating the cause and extent of damage.
  • Repair bill or quotation of repair for damaged items.
  • Original purchase receipt or credit card statement and warranty card of lost or damaged items.
  • Invoice/receipt for the transport and accommodation expenses incurred to replace the lost passport or travel documents.
  • Original receipt of the replacement passport.
  • Property irregularity report on the delay and baggage acknowledgement form.
  • Scheduled and revised travel itinerary and boarding pass for every flight.
  • Letter from airline/cruise operator or their handling agent stating the reason and duration of delay.
  • Police report filed at place of loss within 24 hours.
  • Accident report.
  • Rental agreement and/or receipt showing the vehicle excess amount.
