Make a health declaration for DPS

The Dependants' Protection Scheme (DPS) is a term-life insurance scheme that provides basic financial protection for you and your family members in the event of death, terminal illness or total and permanent disability.

When you'll need to make a health declaration

The validity of your DPS cover is subject to you being in good health when your policy commences.

The Health Declaration is compulsory for all DPS policyholders unless:

  • you enrolled into the scheme via manual application
  • your DPS policy commenced before 17 September 2005, before the privatisation of the Scheme

Note that the commencement date refers to the date your policy became effective.

Follow our guide to make a health declaration for your DPS plan.
