1. What pre-race fringe activities are available?
Join us for exciting virtual and physical activities in the lead-up to the race! The pre-race fringe activities include:
a) Virtual Milestone Challenge (8 September 2022 – 31 October 2022)
b) Hybrid Rebounding with BBOUNCE Studio @ Claymore Connect (24 September 2022)
c) Kayaking – Simpang River Trail (9 October 2022)
1. What is the Virtual Milestone Challenge?
The Virtual Milestone Challenge is a free pre-race fringe activity offered to all registered Participants of the Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022. It is intended to help Participants ease into the momentum of running, in preparation for the race day. Participants may start to take part in the Virtual Milestone Challenge after registering for Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022. The Virtual Milestone Challenge is a fun way to train for the run, unlock milestones and earn e-badges!
2. How do I take part in the Virtual Milestone Challenge?
To sign up for the Virtual Milestone Challenge, you must first be a registered participant of the Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022.
3. How many Milestones are there in the Virtual Milestone Challenge?
There are five (5) Milestones to complete in the Virtual Milestone Challenge during the clock-in period from 8 September – 31 October 2022. Completing each Milestone will allow you to unlock a completion e-badge.

Milestone 1: Complete a total of 3km
Milestone 2: Complete a total of 5km
Milestone 3: Complete a total of 10km
Milestone 4: Complete a total of 20km

4. How do I submit or record my run for the Virtual Milestone Challenge
Firstly, track and record your running activities via a GPS-enabled application.
Submit your running activities manually or auto-sync your running activities to your 42Race account.
Please note that only Strava and Garmin mobile applications have the auto-synchronisation function to your 42Race account.
For other GPS-enabled applications connected to your wearables, you can submit your running activities manually.

5. How many submissions can I make to complete the Virtual Milestone Challenge?
You may complete the distances in multiple sessions and make unlimited submissions to accumulate the required distance throughout the clock-in window (8 September to 31 October 2022).
6. Can I edit or delete my submission(s) if I have made an error after uploading?
Yes, manual and auto-synchronised submissions can be deleted. Click here for the instructional guide on how to delete your submission.
7. How do I know if I have successfully completed my Virtual Milestone Challenge?
The milestones will light up upon completion. Additionally, for every milestone completed, you will unlock an e-badge. The e-badge can be found under “Achievements”.
1. What is Hybrid Rebounding?
Rebounding is a type of elastically leveraged low-impact exercise usually performed on a device known as a rebounder – sometimes called a “mini trampoline”. Rebounding has many health and fitness benefits and it is fun, easy and effective.
Hybrid Rebounding is a combination of several different movements and exercises while incorporating the use of a trampoline. It promises a full body workout and you can accomplish a great amount of workout in a short period of time. What Hybrid Rebounding can do for you is only limited by your imagination! Let your mind and body run free as you embark on a new fitness journey with BBOUNCE Studio’s Hybrid Rebounding.
2. How do I take part in Hybrid Rebounding with BBOUNCE Studio @ Claymore Connect?
To sign up for Hybrid Rebounding, you must first be a registered participant of the Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022.
3. When and where will Hybrid Rebounding be held?
It will be held on 24 September 2022 at BBOUNCE Studio @ Claymore Connect. There will be two sessions to choose from:
Session 1: 11.00am – 12.00pm (30 pax)
Session 2: 5.00pm – 6.00pm (30 pax)
Slots are limited. Registration for hybrid rebounding is on a first-come-first serve basis. More details will be provided to registered participants via email.

4. Is there a fee for Hybrid Rebounding?
An exclusive rate of S$5 per pax is offered specially for Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022 participants.
5. Can I purchase additional slots for my family/friends?
Each Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022 Participant may purchase up to two (2) slots, of which one (1) slot must be for herself (e.g. 1 slot for the GEWR 2022 Participant and 1 slot for a female friend who need not be a GEWR participant). Do note that this fringe activity is only open to females.
6. What is the minimum age to participate in Hybrid Rebounding?
Participants of Hybrid Rebounding must be of a minimum age of 18 years old as of 20 November 2022. All participants must complete an indemnity form, which will be provided via email, before taking part in the activity.
1. What is Kayaking – Simpang River Trail?
Enjoy a leisurely paddle into one of the last riverine mangrove on our shores. This is a trip that is specially designed to introduce kayaking to adults and children alike, where for participants can experience the outdoors, soak in nature, and bond with family and friends. The activity is paced appropriately with additional safety measures so that everyone can enjoy nature at their own pace.
2. How do I take part in Kayaking – Simpang River Trail?
To sign up for Kayaking, you must first be a registered participant of the Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022.
3. When and where will Kayaking be held?
It will be held on 9 October 2022, from 7:15 AM – 11:15 AM. The reporting/end location will be at Sembawang Park Carpark 1.
Slots are limited. Registration for Kayaking is on a first-come-first serve basis. More details will be provided to registered participants via email.
4. Is there a fee for Kayaking?
An exclusive rate of S$15 per pax is offered specially for Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022 participants.
5. Can I purchase additional slots for my family/friends?
Each Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022 Participant may purchase up to four (4) slots, of which one (1) slot must be for herself (e.g. 1 slot for the GEWR 2022 Participant and 3 slots for family members (male and females are welcome)). Do note that this fringe activity is open to adults and children, as it is intended to be a family bonding activity for the GEWR 2022 Participant.
