33. I had received the ‘Annual Sustainability Notice for Investment Linked Policy’ and the ‘Insurance Charges Revision Letter’ earlier and have now received the ‘Value Up Medical Coverage Campaign Offer Letter’. Which letter should I refer to and what are the options available?
The purposes of these communications are different.
1 – The ‘Annual Sustainability Notice for Investment Linked Policy’ is to inform you on your policy status and its sustainability up to its full contractual term. If the policy is not sustainable, a suggested premium increment via the Great Saver Rider (GSR) / Single Premium Top Up (SPTU) / Regular Premium Top Up (RPTU) will be provided in the letter. The suggested premium increment stated in this letter is optional; you have the choice to vary the amount based on your preference.
2 – The ‘Insurance Charges Revision Letter’ is to notify you about the increase in insurance charges of your Existing Medical Rider attached to your basic plan. The rate revision is mainly driven by the rising medical costs and increase of medical claims. The suggested premium (GSR) is to restore the Existing Medical Rider’s sustainability to its original position before repricing^, regardless of the total investment value of the policy.

^Provided that you pay all regular premiums, do not perform any policy alterations and do not make partial withdrawal during the period.
3 – The ‘Value Up Medical Coverage Campaign Offer Letter’ provides you with an opportunity to convert to our GMVE / GMVE + GMVPE without medical underwriting. Your Existing Medical Rider including all secondary medical riders shall automatically be terminated once the new rider(s) is in force. The incremental premium amount as shown in the offer letter is to restore the policy sustainability to its original position before the conversion, regardless of the total investment value of the policy.

Can I still apply to convert my Existing Medical Rider under this Campaign? What will happen to the premium increase that I have already paid earlier?
Yes, you can still apply under this Campaign to convert your Existing Medical Rider to GMVE or GMVE + GMVPE. Upon conversion, your Existing Medical Rider including all secondary medical riders (if any) will be terminated automatically, and GMVE or GMVE + GMVPE will take effect starting from the next monthly due date of the insurance charge of your policy. Moving forward, you will need to pay the new premium amount specified in the offer letter. Please be assured that the allocated premium increase amount you have already paid will be added to the total investment value of your policy.
35. I have converted to GMVE / GMVE + GMVPE through this Campaign, will I still receive the Insurance Charges Revision Letter for my Existing Medical Rider?
The Insurance Charges Revision Letter will be sent to affected customers 3 months prior to the policy anniversary. Please disregard the Insurance Charges Revision Letter on your Existing Medical Rider if your conversion request to GMVE / GMVE + GMVPE has been approved.
36. I have received the Value Up Medical Coverage Campaign offer, however, my policy is currently under premium waived status. Am I still eligible for the Campaign?
No, this Campaign is only available to policies under non-premium waived status. If your policy status changes between the extraction date and the mailing date of the offer letter, it no longer fulfils the pre-determined selection criteria, hence, your eligibility for the Campaign will be voided.
37. I have converted to GMVE or GMVE + GMVPE through this Campaign. Can I terminate the secondary rider GMVPE? Will it affect my primary medical card?
Yes, you may submit a PSF01 (Request for Contractual Changes) Form which is available in our corporate website under Customer Services >> Policy Benefits >> Benefits Coverage Change >> Reduce Sum Assured and Premium / Cancel Rider / Policy Conversion >> Form >> Request for Contractual Changes. In the form, indicate your request to cancel GMVPE under the “Others” column. Alternatively, you may also contact your servicing agent for assistance.
