Great Eastern is honoured by the multiple awards and accolades it has been conferred over the years. The recognition is a testament of the service excellence, commitment and strong values of all in the company and a firm affirmation of the trust that our customers and industry peers have in us and our brand.
Great Eastern Women’s Run won Silver and Bronze for Excellence in Sponsorship Activation at Marketing Magazine ’s Marketing Excellence Awards in 2018 and 2021 respectively. This event also garnered Gold awards for Excellence in Sports Marketing in 2018 and Excellence in Marketing to a Female Audience in 2017.
Runner-up for the “Most Transparent Company” (Finance category) at the Securities Investors Association Singapore (SIAS) in 2021 and 2018.Won the “Most Transparent Company” (Finance category) at 20th Investors' Choice Awards in 2019.These awards by SIAS recognise organisations for their excellence in transparency standards and corporate governance practices.
In 2019, Ms Mabel Soh of Customer & Agency Touchpoints took home the ‘Best Contact Centre Manager of the Year’ – Silver Award under the individual category at the 19th CCAS International Contact Centre Awards 2019. Contact Centre Association of Singapore (CCAS) is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on technologies, operational approaches and business issues impacting the contact centre industry.
Our Group Human Capital team won Top 100 Asia’s Best Employer Brands 2019 in the Employer Branding Awards, hosted by World HRD Congress in collaboration with Employer Branding Institute. The Awards aim to celebrate excellence in HR and recognise organisations and individuals who are currently pushing the boundaries of people strategy.
In 2019, our Group Human Capital team took home two awards at The Singapore HR Awards for: Business HR Awards in Purpose-Driven and Leading HR Practices (Special Mention) in Employee Engagement, Alignment and Workplace Harmony. Organised annually by Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), the Awards celebrate leading organisations and HR professionals in their drive for impactful human capital strategies.
We won two awards at Marketing Magazine ’s Loyalty & Engagement Awards 2019 for Best Regional Loyalty Campaign for The Live Great Programme (Silver) and Best Loyalty Programme (Lifestyle) for GETGREAT, LIVE GREAT & UPGREAT (Bronze). We also garnered several awards in the past years, including the prestigious overall Brand of the Year Award in 2013.
The Digital for Business team won two awards at the Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2019 – a Digital Award for Great Digital Advantage and a Mobile Award for Life Insurance for its GETGREAT and UPGREAT apps. The Awards honour outstanding companies who have made exceptional contributions in pursuit of technological innovation.
Great Eastern Women’s Run continually garnered top awards at the Marketing Events Awards from 2015 to 2018, with the latest in Best Event: Sponsorship Activation and Best Event: Sports Category 2018. Event marketers and planners from across Southeast Asia, South Asia and ANZ regions showcase their creative excellence, successful strategies and operational precision through this platform.

These companies are recognised for their ability and innovativeness to constantly adapt to global and domestic changes to ensure that they remain relevant to their customers.*Renamed as Great Eastern General Insurance Limited with effect from 1 July 2017.
The Great Eastern Women’s Run 2015 won the Best Sports Event of the Year (Local) at the Singapore Sports Awards 2016, organised by Singapore National Olympic Council. The Awards honour Singapore’s most coveted sporting achievements across categories from athletes and coaches to event organisers and media.
The Pinnacle Award is the highest honour given by the Community Chest to organisations that have rendered outstanding service to the community. In October 2014, Great Eastern Life was bestowed the Pinnacle Award for unwavering support and commitment to fundraising for the Community Chest for over 20 years.
We received the 2011 and 2013 Life Insurance Company of the Year Award at the Insurance Industry Awards by Asia Insurance Review. The accolade recognised our excellence in customer service; for constantly evolving to meet customers' needs; bringing customer engagement to a new level with the industry-first Live Great Programme and for actively promoting health and wellness to the community.
We were one of four Merit winners out of 660 SGX-listed companies assessed on their corporate governance practices. The 2011 Award, the first of its kind in Asia by investors, was an initiative by Singapore investors to help improve corporate governance in Singapore. It is supported by SGX and endorsed by world-class and local professional institutions.
