Great Eastern Launches Singapore’s First Physical Gold Investment-Linked Policy Fund

Singapore, 27 January 2026 - Great Eastern today announced the launch of the GreatLink Singapore Physical Gold Fund, Singapore’s first physical gold investment-linked policy fund that offers customers a secure way to gain exposure to gold as part of their long-term financial planning.

The new fund enables customers to have exposure to physical gold bars that are securely vaulted in Singapore and insured up to their full value with the applicable standard exclusions. The offering provides an additional option for customers seeking to diversify their investment portfolios, to enhance resilience across market cycles, and to support long-term wealth preservation and protection against inflation.

“In an increasingly uncertain environment, diversification is essential to long-term financial planning,” said Greg Hingston, Group CEO of Great Eastern. “By offering physical gold exposure within our investment-linked solutions, we are giving wealth-planning and protection-focused customers an additional way to strengthen the resilience of their portfolios.”

The GreatLink Singapore Physical Gold Fund invests directly into the LionGlobal Singapore Physical Gold Fund, a sub-fund of LionGlobal New Wealth Series II. The Funds are managed by Lion Global Investors Limited and backed by gold that either meets international standards of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), the global trade association that sets standards for the gold bullion market, or is otherwise approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Leveraging Singapore’s strengths as a global financial centre, the LionGlobal Singapore Physical Gold Fund further strengthens the nation’s position as a trusted destination for high-quality, institutionally managed investment solutions.

Great Eastern is the first financial services provider in Singapore to offer physical gold as an asset class within a structured, insurance-based proposition. This is made possible by the Singapore insurer working closely with Lion Global Investors Limited, both part of OCBC Group, to integrate institutional-grade investment capabilities into their customer-centric financial planning solutions.

The GreatLink Singapore Physical Gold Fund is available for investment under selected Great Eastern’s investment-linked plans. Customers can learn more at greateasternlife.com/goldfund or speak to a Great Eastern Financial Representative.
