Follow our guide to increase or decrease the benefit amount for your GREAT CareShield or ElderShield Comprehensive plan, or to downgrade your GREAT CareShield - Advantage plan.
If you wish to increase your benefit
Before we proceed, do note that increase in benefit amount is only allowed within the first policy year and is subject to a health evaluation.
Do note that the maximum benefit amount is capped at SGD5,000 for GREAT CareShield.
If you wish to decrease your benefit
You'll need to maintain a minimum policy benefit of SGD300. Any increase in benefit after you have decreased your benefit will be subjected to a health evaluation. The decrease in benefit will take effect from the next renewal date and there will be no refund of premium.
If you wish to downgrade your plan
Downgrading of plan is only applicable for GREAT CareShield - Advantage.
The downgrade will change your plan type to GREAT CareShield - Enhanced. The downgrade of plan will take effect from the next renewal date and there will be no refund of premium.
You may choose to amend your benefit amount in multiples of SGD10 for GREAT CareShield Supreme and in multiples of SGD100 for ElderShield Comprehensive, GREAT CareShield Advantage, and GREAT CareShield Enhanced.
