- Who can use the Gift Credits?
All Great Eastern Life policyholders including DPS, Eldershield and OCBC Bancassurance customers are eligible for the Great Eastern Gift Credits. The policy has to be inforced by 31 Dec 2021.
- How do I check if I am eligible for the Gift Credits?
Existing app users who have already verified as a Policyholder just have to login to Great Eastern Rewards app.
New app users: download, sign up & verify as a Policyholder on Great Eastern Rewards app, if eligible, Gift Credits will be in app "My Vouchers". If you have any further query, please contact: Wecare-SG@greateasternlife.com
- Why don’t I see the Gift Credits?
Only eligible customers will be able to see the Gift Credits on Great Eastern Rewards app. For more information on eligibility, please refer to the FAQ on Gift Credits eligibility.
- How do Gift Credits work?
The Gift Credits can be used to offset your premium payment for new application on selected Great Eastern Life and General policies. Visit here for products eligible for Gift Credits.

Sign up/ Login to Great Eastern Rewards app & verify yourself as a Great Eastern Customer. On the app's home page and under “Redeem Now”, you will be able to see the Gift Credits. To qualify for the $100 + $100 Gift Credits value, please login to Great Eastern Rewards app before 31 December 2021. Eligible Policyholders who login 1 Jan 2022 onwards will get $100 Gift Credits. - If I have problem with Great Eastern Rewards app, what should I do?
a. Check that you have the most updated version of Great Eastern Rewards
b. Check that your iOS / Android OS is updated to support the app

- For my premium payment, how much can the Gift Credits offset?
You can use your Gift Credits to offset 10% transaction premium amount (first premium payment of new policy purchase only).
If the Great Eastern Gift Credits used is less than face value, the balance will be updated in your Great Eastern Rewards app. You can use it for the next insurance purchase.
- If 10% of my transaction premium amount exceeds the Gift Credits face value, how will the payment be processed?
Redemption of Gift Credits is capped at face value and subject to available balance.
- If I have a Premium Voucher, can I use it together with the Gift Credits?
Yes, you may redeem your Gift Credits together with your Premium Vouchers, applicable for payment at the cashier only. Gift Credits are valid for two years until December 2023 whereas Premium Voucher is valid for 90 days.
General Insurance Products: Great Eastern Gift Credits cannot be used in conjunction with any existing vouchers including the Great Eastern Rewards Premium Voucher, and vice versa.
- Can Gift Credits be used for renewal payment?
No, it cannot be used for renewal payments.
- How long is the Gift Credits valid for?
It is valid for 2 years until December 2023
- Where can I find the Gift Credits details?
The Gift Credits can be found in "My Vouchers" within Great Eastern Rewards app.
- Can Gift Credits be encashed?
No, it cannot be encashed.

- Where can I use the Gift Credits?
Gift Credits can be used when making an application through your Great Eastern Financial Representative using their policy application app (GreatAdvice and surGE), or Online Sales Platform, or when making a new business initial premium payment over at Great Eastern’s Customer Service cashier counter.
General Insurance Products: Gift Credits can only be used for purchases where payment is made through Online Sales Platform.

Upon completion of the Proposal pack via GreatAdvice, proceed to ePay module via “Pay or Use Voucher” at Application Summary page. Enter “Payment Details” and click “Add Voucher”. Enter “Gift Credits code” from Great Eastern Rewards and click “Apply."
- Can Gift Credits be applied under Other Payment?
No, Gift Credits cannot be applied under “Submit” option or for other payment type (e.g. CPF/ SRS, Recurring, Renewal, etc).
- How do I apply the Gift Credits on the policy that I want to purchase?
Step 1:
Show the Gift Credits code beginning with GCXXXXXXXX to your Great Eastern Financial Representative for input into their policy application app (GreatAdvice), Online Sales Platform, or show it to the Customer Service cashier if you are paying over the counter.
Step 2:
Once Gift Credits code is applied, you will see the updated balance premium amount to be paid
Step 3:
Upon successful payment, Gift Credits used will be reflected in your “Transaction History” under Great Eastern Rewards app “Me” page

Terms and Conditions
1. The Great Eastern Gift Credits (the “GE Gift Credits”) promotion is a customer reward for all Great Eastern (GELS) policyholders who have at least one inforced Life or Accident & Health Great Eastern policy as at 31 December 2021 including the Dependants’ Protection Scheme and ElderShield Basic.
Policyholders who have only General Insurance policies or Group Insurance Employer & Employee policies are not eligible for this campaign.
2. To obtain the GE Gift Credits, policyholders will have to download and sign up for a Great Eastern Rewards account and verify themselves as a Great Eastern policyholder via Great ID. Existing policyholders that are existing Great Eastern Rewards members will just need to log in to view their GE Gift Credits.
3. The GE Gift Credits will be available within 3 days from the day the policyholder verifies themselves as a Great Eastern policyholder using the Great Eastern Rewards App. The GE Gift Credits can be found in the ‘My Vouchers’ tab in the Great Eastern Rewards App. The GE Gift Credits awarded to each individual will be based on the following:
- S$200 GE Gift Credits if the policyholder is an existing Great Eastern Rewards member as at 1 Oct 2021.
- S$200 GE Gift Credits if the policyholder is a new Great Eastern Rewards member who logs in on or before 31 December 2021.
- S$100 GE Gift Credits if the policyholder is a new Great Eastern Rewards member who logs in on or after 1 January 2022.
(note: the policyholder is still required to have at least one inforced Life or Accident & Health Great Eastern policy as at 31 December 2021 to qualify)
4. The GE Gift Credits is valid until 31 December 2023.
5. The GE Gift Credits are applicable for purchase of qualifying plans only. For the list of qualifying plans, please refer here (each a “Qualifying Plan”, collectively “Qualifying Plans”)
6. The GE Gift Credits can only be drawn down for up to 10% of the calculated first premium payment of each new policy purchase. The balance of the GE Gift Credits, if any may be used for the next insurance policy purchase.
7. The GE Gift Credits can be used for any of the payment frequencies available under the Qualifying Plans.
8. Subject to the type of insurance product being purchased and usage of other vouchers, the GE Gift Credits can be used when the policyholder purchases the new policy via the Online Sales Platform, through our Financial Representatives or even at our cashier counters. Please refer to the table below:

9. The GE Gift Credits are not transferable.
10. The GE Gift Credits will not be refunded if your policy is terminated.
11. In the event if the policyholder
a) replaces the Qualifying Plan; or
b) downgrades the plan type and/or deals with the Qualifying Plan in any way which reduces the total premiums payable,
within twelve (12) months from the date of issue of the Qualifying Plan, GELS has the right to get policyholder to return the value of the GE Gift Credits discount to GELS. In addition, by participating in this GE Gift Credits reward, the policyholder agrees that GELS may deduct the value of the GE Gift Credits discount which was issued to the policyholder from the cash value of the Qualifying Plan or from any sums due owing to the policyholder from GELS, in its sole discretion.
12. GE Gift Credits are non-refundable or extendable. GELS will also not be able to reinstate expired GE Gift Credits.
13. GELS reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions or withdraw this GE Gift Credits reward at any time without prior notice. The decision of GELS on all matters relating to this GE Gift Credits reward shall be final and binding on all customers.
14. By participating in the GE Gift Credits reward, each Participant agrees and consent to Great Eastern and its related corporations (collectively, the "Companies"), as well as their respective representatives, the Companies' authorised service providers and relevant third parties (the Companies and all the other foregoing parties, collectively, “Great Eastern Persons”), collecting, using, disclosing, and/or sharing amongst themselves such personal data, for purposes reasonably required by the Companies to award and fulfil the GE Gift Credits reward which the participant is signing up for and such other purposes as described in Great Eastern's Privacy Statement (collectively, the “Purposes”) which is accessible from Great Eastern Singapore’s website, which each participant confirms they have read and understood.
Each Participant’s consent herein supplements but does not supersede nor replace any other consents that Participant may have previously provided to Great Eastern Persons, and each Participant’s consents herein are cumulative and additional to any rights which any of the Great Eastern Persons may have to collect, use, and/or disclose of a Participant’s Personal Data, with or without that Participant’s consent, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
15. The terms and conditions of this promotion shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Singapore law. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from the terms and conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.
