The Great Explorer Programme ("Programme") terms and conditions
1. The Great Explorer Programme (the "Programme") is organised by The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited (“Great Eastern”) and provides Great Eastern policyholders with child who are successfully enrolled in the Programme with Programme benefits. Registration is open to policyholders in Singapore with child(ren) aged 12 and below, holding policies with Great Eastern and Great Eastern General Insurance Limited (“GEG”) but excluding policyholders with only a Dependent’s Protection Scheme (“DPS”) policy. To be eligible for the Programme, all the requirements as set out in these terms and conditions must be fulfilled:
3. Welcome pack for child life assureds
(a) Policyholders who have successfully enrolled in the Programme with Child Life Assureds aged 7 to 12 will receive the welcome pack, which will be delivered to the latest address submitted to Great Eastern via courier service starting in September 2025.
(b) The welcome pack is designed for direct engagement with these children and to introduce them Great Eastern. The pack includes a greeting card addressed to the Child Life Assured, colouring pencils, a colouring book and a pencil case. These items are specifically tailored for primary school children who can read and write, and therefore, the welcome pack will not be available for Child Life Assureds aged 6 or below.
4. Birthday treats for child life assureds
(a) Birthday Treats for Child Life Assureds (the “Birthday Treat”) is an offer allowing Policyholder(s) who have successfully enrolled in the Programme, to redeem a birthday treat (“Birthday Treat”) for their enrolled Child Life Assureds. The Birthday Treats will start in June 2025.
(b) Policyholder(s) will be notified via an electronic mailer (EDM) about the birthdays of the Child Life Assureds.
(c) The Birthday Treats are available from the day when the policyholder receives the notification and will end a month after the notification is sent. For example:

Birthday Treat Start Date: When Policyholder receives the notification
Birthday Treat End Date: 30 June 2025
(d) All Birthday Treats are limited to the first 30,000 redemptions only.
(e) All Birthday Treats are non-refundable and are not exchangeable for cash or in kind.
(f) There will be strictly no extension of the Birthday Treat offer period.
(g) Each Policyholder is entitled to redeem each Birthday Treat e-voucher once for each Child Life Assured via the Great Eastern app only.
(h) To redeem the Birthday Treat e-voucher, the Policyholder will have to download the Great Eastern Rewards app at https://rewards-sg.greateasternlife.com/ger/download-now, sign up for a Great Eastern Rewards account using a valid email address and verify that they are a Great Eastern customer with their Personal ID or Policy Number by following on-screen steps.
(i) The Birthday Treat is only available during the valid redemption period as stated under each Birthday Treat e-voucher featured in the Great Eastern Rewards App.
(j) Redemption of Birthday Treat e-vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions listed under each Treat e-voucher in the Great Eastern Rewards App and any other terms and conditions to which the relevant merchant may impose.
(k) Great Eastern is entitled to replace or withdraw the Birthday Treat vouchers at any time without prior notice or liability.
(l) Great Eastern makes no representation as to the quality of the Birthday Treat as provided by the merchant.
5. Complimentary family events
(a) Policyholder(s) and their child(ren) who have successfully enrolled in the Programme will be invited to attend selected Great Eastern events. Some may even be invited to events held at the Great Eastern Sports Hub Suite at the National Stadium. Due to limited seating capacity at the suite, such invitations will be issued solely at Great Eastern’s discretion and could include the use of lucky draws.
(b) Where the Policyholder(s) and their child(ren) attend a Great Eastern event, the Policyholder understands that there may be phototaking, videoing, recording or agrees and consents for themselves and on behalf of their child(ren) to any photographs, motion pictures, images, video, recordings (whether audio or visual or both) or any other record digitally or otherwise, being collected, disclosed and processed by Great Eastern and Great Eastern’s authorised third parties, for use in marketing collaterals including social media videos, to promote the Great Eastern brand.
(c) Each Policyholder agrees and releases the Great Eastern Companies and related entities and their authorised partners and/or their officers, employees, representatives from any and all liability involved with taking, recording, digitising of any photographs, images, video or audio recordings whether of themselves or of their child(ren).
(d) Policyholder(s) and their child(ren) participating in Great Eastern events will be subject to further terms and conditions when attending such events and these will be communicated on a per-event basis.
6. Merchant offers for parents and children
(a) Merchant offers will be progressively available on the Great Eastern Rewards app from July to August 2025. Specific terms and conditions for each reward can be found within the Great Eastern Rewards app.
Other general terms and conditions
7. If any policyholder(s) wishes to withdraw from the Programme, please write in to the Programme email account at GreatExplorer@greateasternlife.com. Withdrawal will be processed and completed within one month from the date of Great Eastern’s receipt of the email. To withdraw your consent from receiving marketing materials from Great Eastern, you may withdraw your consent or change your marketing preferences at any time via Great Eastern’s website at https://www.greateasternlife.com/sg/en/marketing-consent-preferences-form.html.
8. By participating in this Programme, each policyholder agrees and consents to Great Eastern and its related corporations (collectively, the "Companies"), as well as their respective representatives, agents, the Companies' authorised service providers and relevant third parties (the Companies and all the other foregoing parties, collectively, “Great Eastern Persons”), collecting, using, disclosing, and/or sharing amongst themselves, yours and your child(ren)’s personal data, for purposes reasonably required by the Companies to conduct and administer the Programme and such other purposes as described in Great Eastern's Privacy Statement (collectively, the “Purposes”) which is accessible from Great Eastern Singapore’s website at https://www.greateasternlife.com/, which you confirm you have read and understood.
9. Each policyholder’s consents herein supplement and supersede any other consents they may have previously provided to Great Eastern Persons, and their consents herein are cumulative and additional to any rights which any of the Great Eastern Persons may have to collect, use, and/or disclose of that policyholder’s personal data, with or without that policyholder’s consent, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
10. In addition, where personal data of any person is disclosed by a policyholder, the policyholder further confirms and represents that they have obtained the consent of the individual concerned for the Purposes, unless such consent is not required under applicable laws: (i) to collect such personal data; (ii) for the disclosure of such personal data to the Great Eastern Persons; and (iii) for the Great Eastern Persons’ collection, use and/or disclosure of such personal data.
11. All details and particulars submitted by policyholder(s), whether of themselves, their spouse or their child(ren) must be accurate, true and complete. Incomplete, inaccurate and illegible submissions will be disqualified. Notwithstanding anything herein, Great Eastern has the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of any person to participate in the Programme. If Great Eastern subsequently determines that a policyholder or their child(ren) is in fact not eligible, Great Eastern may at its discretion, disqualify the policyholder and their child(ren), cancel and/or recover any or all of Programme benefits.
12. By participating in this Programme, all policyholders agree to release and hold the Great Eastern Companies harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to any person or property arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly:
(a) participation in the Programme, Programme-related activities; and
(b) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any programme benefits or parts thereof awarded pursuant to the Programme.
13. The decisions of the Great Eastern Companies on all matters relating to this Programme are at its discretion and are final, conclusive and binding.
14. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochures, marketing or other promotional materials or communications relating to the Programme, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
15. The Great Eastern Companies reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion (without any obligation to provide a reason), to (a) terminate or withdraw this Programme; or (b) vary these terms and conditions, including amending the duration of the Programme for a specified group of policyholders, without prior notice or liability to any party.
16. By participating in the Programme, policyholder(s) hereby agree to all the terms and conditions of participating in the Programme as set out herein, including but not limited to the qualifying criteria, the collection, use and transfer of personal data by Great Eastern Companies, in accordance with the relevant Great Eastern Company’s Privacy Statement and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications hereto as may from time to time be made by the Great Eastern Companies.
17. The terms and conditions of the Programme shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Singapore law. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from the terms and conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.
18. All correspondence and documents relating to this Programme shall be in English.
