Terms and Conditions

1. The Great Legacy Programme @Retirement & Legacy Planning Fair (“Event”) is organised by The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited (“Great Eastern” or “GELS”) and is open to the following individuals:a) Existing Great Eastern policyholder (“Existing Client”); orb) Non-Great Eastern policyholder (“Prospect”) collectively referred to as “Applicants”.

2. The Event will run from 28 Jul 2026 to 2 Aug 2026 (both dates inclusive) (“Event Period”) at Suntec City Tower 1 & 2. Great Eastern reserves the right to amend the dates without prior notice.

3. This event offers complimentary certification of Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) to eligible Applicants who successfully register for a session during the stated booking period. Slots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

4. Registration for the Event is open to Applicants who are Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents or Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holders residing in Singapore with a valid Singapore mailing address and employment pass or work permit (“Singapore Resident(s)”).

5. An Applicant may register one accompanying guest for the same complimentary certification. Each person may be certified separately, depending on the slot availability.

6. Upon submission of the Form, Applicants will receive notification of their Appointment via the email address as provided in the Form. On the day of Appointment, Applicants must show up at the designated venue with their completed LPA and the SMS notification to visit a Certificate Issuer from Ministry of Social and Family Development (via ‘gov.sg’).

7. Great Eastern reserves the right to limit the number of Applicants at its discretion and to close registration for the event. Great Eastern shall not be obliged to grant admission to the Event to any person who is not an Applicant. 

Personal Data

8. By participating in the Event and/or other activities of the Event, each Applicant consents to Great Eastern and its related corporations (collectively, the “Companies”), as well as their respective representatives, agents, authorised service providers and relevant third parties (collectively, “Great Eastern Persons”) collecting, using, disclosing and/or sharing amongst themselves, the Applicant’s personal data for purposes reasonably required by the Great Eastern Persons to administer registration and attendance for the Event, send communications in connection with the Event, exclusive offers, voucher giveaway (if any), provide the services and products on offer at the Event and such other purposes as described in Great Eastern’s Privacy Statement (collectively, the “Purposes”) which is accessible from Great Eastern’s website at https://www.greateasternlife.com, which the Applicant confirms having read and understood.

9. Each Applicant’s consents herein supplement but do not supersede nor replace any other consents which the Applicant may have previously provided to Great Eastern Persons, and the Applicant’s consents herein are cumulative and additional to any rights which any of the Great Eastern Persons may have to collect, use, and/or disclose of that Applicant’s Personal Data, with or without that Applicant’s consent, to the extent permitted under applicable law.

10. In addition, where personal data of any person is disclosed by an Applicant, the Participant further confirms and represents that the Applicant has obtained the consent of the individual concerned for the Purposes, unless such consent is not required under applicable law: (i) to collect such personal data; (ii) for the disclosure of such personal data to the Great Eastern Persons; and (iii) for the Great Eastern Persons’ collection, use and/or disclosure of such personal data.

11. You may withdraw any consent given or deemed to have been given in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data by submitting your request via the following methods:

General

12. Great Eastern makes no representation as to the quality or performance of the products or services provided by the merchants at the Event. Applicants acknowledge and accept that use of the products and/or services of the merchants (or partners i.e. doctors) are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant merchant providing the products and/or services. Applicants agree that any remedies or recourse sought due to issues arising from use of the products or services shall be sought directly from the relevant merchant providing the products or services.

13. Great Eastern may replace or withdraw any of the offers at the Event at any time without notice or liability.

14. Great Eastern has the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of any person to participate in the Event. The decision of Great Eastern on all matters relating to the Event shall be final and binding on all Applicants. 

15. Great Eastern makes no representation nor warranty as to the fitness for purpose, quality or performance of any products and services offered by the participating merchants at the Event and they should not be relied upon as such.

16. Great Eastern may vary these terms and conditions or suspend or terminate the Event at any time without any notice or liability to any party.

17. Save to the extent prohibited by applicable law: (a) Great Eastern will not be responsible for any death, injury, loss, claim or damage suffered or incurred in connection with: (i) an Applicants attendance at the Event and/or participation in any activities at the Event; (ii) the products and services offered by the participating merchants at the Event; and/or (iii) any notices, letters or correspondence lost, stolen, delayed or misdirected in the postal system or telecommunication system, and the consequences arising from the non-receipt or delay of such communication; and (b) the Applicant agrees to release and hold Great Eastern harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any death, injury, loss, claim or damage of any kind to any person or property arising (whether directly or indirectly) from or in connection with all of the foregoing mentioned in (a).

18. By participating in the Event, the Applicant shall be deemed to have agreed to abide by all terms and conditions of participating in the Event as set out within, including any amendments, additions, replacements and modifications hereto as may from time to time be made by Great Eastern.

19. Photographs, audio and video recordings may be taken during the Event to be used by Great Eastern for internal and external communication and promotional publicity purposes. In addition, all recordings, quotes, photographs, films, audio or video and/or any reproductions of the same in any form (the “Records”), are the property of Great Eastern.

20. Each Applicant grants Great Eastern the rights necessary for distribution and public display of the Records, and hereby grants Great Eastern on a royalty-free basis the perpetual right to exclusively and without limitation freely use, modify, edit, copy, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, translate, create derivative works from, alter and publicly display or publish any such intellectual property, for whatever purposes including but not limited to, marketing and promotional purposes, on Great Eastern’s website,  on or in connection with Great Eastern and/or Great Eastern Rewards or in Great Eastern’s marketing collaterals, whether locally or worldwide.

21. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and other advertising, publicity, brochure, marketing, promotional or other materials or communications relating to the Event, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms and conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.
