Great Eastern has been championing the importance of women’s health with GEWR and this year we have introduced the first nationwide Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) for women. On 24th August 2019 morning, the GE Women's IPPT saw close to 600 women at the Singapore Sports Hub making 'herstory' and a record was set for the ‘First-ever Women’s Mass IPPT', entering the Singapore Book of Records for this feat!
Comprising three components – Push Ups, Sit-Ups and 2.4km run, the Great Eastern Women’s IPPT is a non-competitive fitness assessment to help women assess their fitness levels, set achievable fitness goals and track their future progress in the long run. Participants were also rewarded with a limited edition GE Women’s IPPT tote-bag and $10 Starbucks gift card upon completion of the IPPT.
Singapore’s leading fitness trainers Natalie Dau, Wany Misban and Roxanne Gan were cheering the participants on during the IPPT day. They have also curated a series of strength and conditioning exercises to help participants train for the IPPT and the Run in November.
We thank all participants who have joined us in the first Great Eastern's Women's IPPT and we hope you had lots of fun!
