Great Eastern Private Debuts as New Proposition for Asia's High-Net-Worth Clients

Singapore, 3 March 2026 – Great Eastern today unveiled Great Eastern Private, a segment proposition created for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families across Asia. This represents an expansion of the insurer’s capabilities and service offering to deliver a new suite of solutions and services that support established clients looking to preserve their financial legacy for future generations.

“As clients successfully accumulate wealth, the focus is now shifting to preserving, and transferring wealth intentionally, efficiently and meaningfully. The launch of Great Eastern Private is a strategic move to invest in capabilities and services to respond to this customer need and the commitment to remain the trusted insurance partner of customers across every stage of life and across generations. As Southeast Asia’s longest established insurer, Great Eastern has been entrusted across these generations.” Greg Hingston, Group CEO of Great Eastern said.

Built on more than 117 years of stability and trust, the insurer, a member of OCBC Group, has the added advantage of offering HNW customers the collective strength of OCBC Group. This includes the private banking capabilities of Bank of Singapore and the asset management capabilities of Lion Global Investors.

Transcending the role of insurer, Great Eastern Private combines tailored HNW insurance solutions with a curated panel of expertise and services, providing individuals, families and business owners effortless access to seamless wealth succession and legacy planning. Delivered through a Private Client Privileges programme, there will be a thoughtfully assembled network of private wealth partners across seven domains:

  • Next-generation leadership
  • Family advisory and trust services
  • Health and longevity
  • International tax advisory
  • Legal advisory
  • Philanthropy
  • Global lifestyle concierge

In addition, in partnership with Singapore Management University Executive Development, Great Eastern Private will host an industry-first cross-generational family programme. Through this initiative, founders and family members will explore topics such as values, enterprise continuity, leadership transition, and long-term legacy.

A brand new HNW space

The Hewton Fair Suite (a reference to Great Eastern’s founder Alfred Hewton Fair) is an exclusive space within the Great Eastern Centre designed for servicing HNW clients. It comes with an on-site medical suite in partnership with Raffles Medical Group, providing same-day health assessment as well as access to Healthy Longevity and Medi-wellness services. Complementing the needs of internationally mobile clients, Great Eastern Private membership includes 24/7 support from a dedicated, multi-lingual global concierge service that caters to bespoke travel, dining, and lifestyle experiences worldwide.

To mark this launch, Great Eastern has brought together a distinguished selection of iconic brands to offer a unique Singapore experience. TWG Tea, the globally renowned luxury tea house, has created an exclusive Great Eastern Private Tea Blend for Great Eastern Private members, while Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie, the homegrown artisan chocolatier known for its sustainably-sourced Asian cacao, will serve a refined selection of chocolate indulgences to complement the pairing.

In quick succession, Great Eastern launched three new products last year for HNW succession – including Legacy Income, Index Universal Life and Prestige Wealth Legacy.

The launch of Great Eastern Private comes at a time when Asia’s wealth families navigate intergenerational transitions amidst rising geopolitical and market complexity. With an estimated US$5.8 trillion in assets expected to be passed down in Asia Pacific between 2023 and 2030, Great Eastern Private is positioning itself to be the Asian insurer of choice for clients increasingly seeking multi-generational solutions in Singapore.

The proposition for Great Eastern’s HNW clients will continue to evolve and further developments will be announced in due course.
