Understanding your benefits
An accident is an event which results in a sudden, unforeseen and involuntary injury which occurs independently of an illness, disease or any other causes. Depending on your specific policy, benefits may include:
- Medical expenses: coverage for medical bills and hospital stays due to:
- Accidents or
- Illnesses such as dengue fever, Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) and food poisoning
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): reimbursement for TCM treatments
- Disability: compensation for loss of income or ability to work
- Death: benefits for your beneficiaries in case of accidental death
Please inform us within 90 days of your accident, providing us with the details of the accident, receipts for reimbursement of medical expenses, and/or any other related supporting documents. Follow-up claims for the same accident can be submitted anytime within 365 days of the accident date.

Gather your documents
Here is what you need to submit your claim:
1. Final copies of your hospital and medical bills
2. MediSave Payment and Claims statement (if you paid using your/your loved one’s MediSave)
Retrieve it from the CPF website under the ‘Latest healthcare payments and claims’ section.
Tips for submitting documents
- Digital copies preferred: Retrieve the PDF copy if your clinic provided one or download your bills from the HealthHub app if you visited a restructured hospital.
