Great Legacy Programme Terms and Conditions

1. The Great Legacy Programme - LPA/AMD Certification Event (“Event”) is organised by The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited (“Great Eastern” or “GELS”) for selected Great Eastern Financial Representatives’ (“Selected Great Eastern Reps” or “Ambassadors”) and is open to the following individuals:

a) Existing Great Eastern policyholder (“Existing Client”); or
b) Non Great Eastern policyholder (“Prospect”)

collectively referred to as “Applicants”

2. The Event will run from 1 April 2025 to 31 Dec 2025 (both dates inclusive) (“Event Period”). Great Eastern reserves the right to amend the dates without prior notice.

3. Registration for the Event is open to Applicants who are Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents or Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holders residing in Singapore with a valid Singapore mailing address and employment pass or work permit (“Singapore Resident(s)”).

4. Each Applicant shall be entitled to the following:-

a) Gift A: One (1) complimentary waiver of certification fee for Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) certification fee by a doctor (form 1 via Office of Public Guardian Online portal only); and/or
b) Gift B: One (1) complimentary waiver of certification fee for Advance Medical Directive (AMD) certification fee by a doctor; and
c) Gift C: One (1) complimentary Personal Accident Insurance (“Complimentary Coverage”); and
d) Gift D: Up to S$200 premium cashback (“Cashback”) per eligible Great Eastern product or policy (“Qualifying Plan”, collectively “Qualifying Plans”).

5. Gifts are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods or services.

6. For redemption of Gifts, Applicant must complete the online registration form (“Form”) with the following details:

a) Applicant’s Full Name (as per NRIC);
b) Applicant’s NRIC;
c) Applicant’s Date of Birth;
d) Applicant’s Gender;
e) Applicant’s Mobile Number;
f) Applicant’s Email Address;
g) Ambassador’s Mobile Number; and
h) Ambassador’s Email Address.

7. For redemption of Gift A and/or Gift B, Applicant is also required to select their preferred date and timing (“Appointment”) as available and shown on the Form.

8. Upon submission of the Form, Applicant will receive notification of their Appointment via the email address as provided in the Form. On the day of Appointment, the Applicant must show up at the designated venue with their completed LPA and/or AMD. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of Gift A and/or Gift B.

9. For Gift A, the Applicant may need to pay a Registration Fee (“Fee”) to the Office of Public Guardian (OPG) as tabled below:

Gift C (Complimentary Coverage) Terms and Conditions

10. Complimentary Coverage (“Policy”) is underwritten by Great Eastern. The Policy offers the following benefits (“Coverage”):- 

11. To be eligible for the Policy, Applicant must:

a) be a Singapore Resident aged between 21 years old and 75 years old at the time of Appointment; and
b) have attended the Appointment;

Each successful recipient of the Policy is also referred to as “Insured” or “You” or “Complimentary Coverage Policyholder”.

12. Coverage for the Policy is automatic and at no cost to You. The Policy will commence from the date of the Appointment as indicated on the Form, for a period of 12 months. For the avoidance of doubt, the Policy will be automatically cancelled after 12 months and no further action is required of You.

Gift D (“Cashback Promotion”) Terms and Conditions

14. This Cashback Promotion (“Promotion”) shall run between 1 May 2025 and 30 April 2026, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).

15. Policyholders who purchase any of the plans as set out below (each a “Qualifying Plan”, collectively “Qualifying Plans”) will get to enjoy the respective rewards (individually a “Reward”, collectively “Rewards”):-

¹ For GREAT Prime Rewards III which is a single premium plan, the Reward will be based on the Qualifying Single Premium at a minimum of $10,000 and refers to the single premium as reflected in the policy illustration.

² For all Regular Premium plans listed, the Reward will be based on the total premiums payable for the first policy year based on the policy’s selected premium payment frequency, including premium loadings (if any), cash-paying riders (if any) and excluding GST (if any). 

16. To be eligible for the Promotion, Great Eastern has to receive the application of the Qualifying Plan(s) from the policyholder within the New Business Submission period and the Qualifying Plan(s) have to be in force by the Policy Inforce date as set out below:-

17.  For the avoidance of doubt, any Qualifying Plan which is inforce prior to the date of the New Business Submission period shall not be eligible for the Promotion.

18. Eligibility for the Reward for each Qualifying Plan depends on the Qualifying Single Premium or Qualifying Regular Annual Premium for that Qualifying Plan. For the avoidance of doubt, premiums cannot be combined across multiple Qualifying Plans to determine whether a policyholder is eligible for the Reward. In the event that the Reward is awarded more than once for any Qualifying Plan, Great Eastern reserves the right to recover the full value of any additional Reward from the policyholder.

19. All communication regarding this Promotion willbe mailed out to the policyholder’s mailing address provided in the application for the Qualifying Plan or such other mailing address as Great Eastern may be subsequently notified in writing by the policyholder. Great Eastern will not be responsible in any way for any non-receipt of the notification should there be a change in the mailing address of the policyholder.

20. If the policyholder exercises a policy alteration to increase the Qualifying Plan’s benefits within twelve (12) months from the date of issue of the Qualifying Plan, Great Eastern reserves the right not to top-up or issue the Reward(s) based on the adjusted premiums of the Qualifying Plan. Great Eastern shall determine the value of the Reward(s) issued (if any) to the policyholder at the point of disbursement, at its sole discretion.

21. For fulfillment of the Reward by cash via PayNow or cheque (as applicable),

a) the policyholder will be notified of the payment of the Reward by way of a letter from Great Eastern within forty-five (45) days after the expiry of the free-look period of the Qualifying Plan.

22. GELS will only pay the Reward to an account registered with the policyholder’s Singapore National Registration Identity Card (“NRIC”) number.

23. For policyholders without a valid PayNow account registered with their NRIC number, a cheque will be prepared and mailed out to the policyholder.

24. Great Eastern reserves the right to vary the method of disbursement and will notify the policyholder of any such change at least seven (7) days before the disbursement date of the Reward.

25. If the policyholder:

a) cancels or surrenders the Qualifying Plan, or the Qualifying Plan lapses;
b) replaces the Qualifying Plan; or
c) downgrades the plan type and/or deals with the Qualifying Plan in any way which reduces the total premium payable; 

within twelve (12) months from the date of issue of the Qualifying Plan, the policyholder shall return the value of the Reward(s) to Great Eastern immediately. The policyholder agrees that Great Eastern may alternatively in its sole discretion deduct the value of the Reward from any sums owed to the policyholder by Great Eastern.

26. This Promotion is not valid with any other offers or promotions (including where premium vouchers are utilised for payment of premiums) held by GELS, unless otherwise specified by GELS. 

27. If Great Eastern subsequently determines that a person is in fact not eligible for any of the Gifts, for any reason whatsoever, Great Eastern may at its discretion, disqualify the Applicant and clawback/cancel any or all of the Gifts without prior notice. 

Personal Data Protection

28. By participating in the Event, each Applicant agrees and consents to Great Eastern and its related corporations (collectively, the “Companies”), as well as their respective representatives, agents, authorised service providers and relevant third parties (the Companies and all the other foregoing parties, collectively, “Great Eastern Persons”), collecting, using and/or disclosing each Applicant’s personal data, for purposes reasonably required by the Companies to administer the Event, process any of the Gifts, and such other purposes as described in Great Eastern’s Privacy Statement which is accessible from Great Eastern’s website, which each Applicant confirms he/she has read and understood.

29. Each Applicant’s consents herein supplement but do not supersede nor replace any other consents they may have previously provided to Great Eastern Persons, and their consents herein are cumulative and additional to any rights which any of the Great Eastern Persons may have to collect, use, and/or disclose of that applicant’s Personal Data, with or without that Applicant’s consent, to the extent permitted under applicable law.

30. In addition, where personal data of any person is disclosed by an Applicant, the Applicant further confirms and represents that they have obtained the consent of the individual concerned for the Purposes, unless such consent is not required under applicable laws: (i) to collect such personal data; (ii) for the disclosure of such personal data to he Great Eastern Persons; and (iii) for the Great Eastern Persons’ collection, use and/or disclosure of such personal data. 

General

31. The decision of Great Eastern on all matters relating to the Event and Gifts shall be final and binding on all Applicants.

32. Great Eastern may vary these terms and conditions or suspend or terminate the Event/Gifts without any notice or liability to any party.

33. Great Eastern may replace, withdraw or add to any of the Gifts at any time without notice or liability.

34. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any advertising, publicity, brochure, marketing or other materials relating to or in connection with this Event/Gifts, these terms and conditions shall prevail. 

35. Great Eastern will not be responsible for any injuries, loss, claim or damage suffered or incurred in connection with the Event, the Gifts and/or any notices, letters or correspondence lost, stolen or misdirected in the postal system or telecommunication system, and the consequences arising from the non-receipt of such communication. 

36. By participating in this Event, the Applicants agree to release and hold Great Eastern harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to any person or property arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly: 

a) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Gift or parts thereof awarded pursuant to the Event; and
b) the participation in the Event or any Gift-related activities.

37. Notwithstanding anything herein, Great Eastern has the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of any person to participate in the Event.

38. The terms and conditions of the Event/Gifts shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Singapore law. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from the terms and conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.
