As a fitness coach, Louishia’s life was always on the move. Between coaching sessions, international races, and personal milestones, she stayed focused on pushing forward and helping others do the same.
Her strength came not only from within, but also from the people who supported her. In every city she raced, there was always someone cheering her on. Their belief in her reminded her that she was never really running alone.

During a trip to Vietnam, everything changed. Louishia missed a step while coming down a flight of stairs. It was a small slip that led to a serious injury. She tore a ligament, sprained her ankle, and fractured the ankle bone, which had twisted the wrong way. Emergency surgery was required.
Suddenly, the active life she had always known came to a grinding halt.
She couldn’t take on any clients and her income was impacted. Even getting around was a challenge. Though her initial recovery took about a month and a half, the journey back to full strength was far from over. Many of the movements she need to demonstrate as a personal trainer were still out of reach. She had lost significant muscle in her injured leg, and with it, the freedom to move and live on her own terms.

The physical recovery was frustrating. But the mental strain of being sidelined was just as difficult. As medical bills began to build up, her Great Eastern Travel Insurance plan gave her the support she needed. The payout helped ease the financial pressure and gave her space to focus on healing, both physically and emotionally.
Eventually, Louishia returned to training and completed the 70.3 Ironman triathlon.

“My Great is giving my dream the freedom to travel far.”
