A number of factors can impede the claim processing.

Incomplete documentation: Missing or incomplete forms and supporting documents can significantly slow down the process. Ensure all required documents, such as the claimant's statement and doctor's statement memo, are fully completed and submitted.

Incorrect information: Errors in the information provided, such as incorrect policy numbers or personal details, can cause delays as the insurance company may need to verify and update these details.

Additional medical information needed: Sometimes, the insurer may require additional medical information or clarification from your healthcare provider, which can take time to obtain.

Complex claims: Claims involving complex medical conditions or treatments may require more thorough review and assessment, leading to longer processing times.

High volume of claims: During peak periods or in the event of widespread incidents (e.g., natural disasters), the insurance company may experience a high volume of claims which can prolong processing times.

Disputes or appeals: If there are disputes regarding the claim, such as disagreements over coverage or liability, the resolution process can take longer.

To minimise delays, it's important to provide accurate and complete information and submit all required documents promptly.
