Great Eastern makes financial education fun with the Great FinChamp Challenge

Nurturing a financially resilient generation through gameplay

Singapore, 28 August 2025 – Great Eastern announces the launch of the Great FinChamp Challenge in Singapore, a nationwide online competition for primary school children aged 7 to 12. From now till 30 September 2025, participating families can learn about key financial literacy concepts through play and stand to win attractive prizes.

Designed as a fun and interactive board game simulating a six-year school journey, financial awareness is instilled as players shape their own unique story with each decision made. Parents can guide their children through the game by playing together or letting them chart their own course independently. Players with the most enriching life experience will top the game leaderboard.

Greg Hingston, Group Chief Executive Officer of Great Eastern said, “Financial literacy is an essential life skill that everyone should master, regardless of age. With Great FinChamp, we aim to make learning about money management relatable and fun for children and provide opportunities for families to bond by navigating the game together. As a homegrown insurer who has served Singapore the past 117 years, Great Eastern wants to build and strengthen financial awareness among children, so that the next generation can plan, prioritise, save, spend and invest with confidence for the future.”

The Great FinChamp Challenge is part of Great Eastern’s financial literacy outreach activities under its Great Eastern Cares corporate social responsibility programme and a key feature of the insurer’s 117th anniversary celebration line-up.
