Great Eastern Life (GELM) began its operations in 1908 as a branch office of The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited. As the oldest and most established life insurer in Malaysia, GELM continues to set new standards as an innovative industry leader. With more than a century of experience and solid financial foundation, GELM has RM91.1 billion in assets, over 3.0 million policies in force, and a network of 19,000 agents nationwide as at 31 December 2020.

First-class training facilities and curriculum
As the largest and most established life insurance company in Malaysia, Great Eastern have invested RM20 million in an Agency Transformation Plan to uplift the professionalism and increase the productivity of their agents nationwide. The plan encompassed the Great Eastern Life Centre for Excellence (CfE) – a state-of-the-art training centre and best-in-class training curriculum.
The 60,000 square feet Centre for Excellence can house more than 2,000 life planners at any one time for trainings and workshops. Located at Level 6 of Menara Great Eastern at Jalan Ampang, it features a 1,000-capacity great hall, 2 theatre-styled auditoriums, 13 training rooms, a video conferencing room to promote virtual learning and discussion, an exclusive Premier Business Lounge, a Live Great cafeteria and computer labs with the capability to conduct Computer Based Exam and Takaful Basic Exam in-house for the convenience of new life planners.
