How does this tool help me?
First off, it's important to know that 60 to 65 percent of the calories you eat daily are used simply to keep you alive and provide basic energy for life support. If you were to lay in bed all day, you would still need these calories to support basic body functions. 25 percent of your calories go to movement and physical activity and about 10 percent of calories are spent processing the food you eat. From there you can figure out how many calories you should aim to burn from exercise without pushing your body too far or burning the calories that are essential in everyday life.
Note: The results you receive from this tool are not intended to be a substitute for individual medical advice in
diagnosing a health/lifestyle problem. They are provided to give you an estimate of results based on professionally
accepted formulae and algorithms
